GIFs on Streamlabs OBS: A Guide

Adding GIFs to Your Streams

GIFs can add a touch of fun and excitement to your live streams. Here's how to add GIFs using Streamlabs OBS:

Under Sources, click the plus icon to add a new source.

Select "Add Source" and choose "Image" from the menu. This will create a new image source in your scene.

Navigate to the "Image" tab in the Properties panel.

Click the "Browse" button and select the GIF file you want to add. You can also use the "URL" field to add a GIF from the internet.

Adjust the position and size of the GIF as desired.

You can use the "Position" and "Size" settings to move and resize the GIF in your scene. The "Crop" setting allows you to crop the GIF to a specific size.

Configure the loop settings.

You can choose whether to play the GIF once, loop it continuously, or stop it after a certain number of loops. The "Loop Forever" option will keep the GIF playing indefinitely.

Enable the "Always on Top" option to keep the GIF visible even when you switch scenes.

This option prevents the GIF from being hidden behind other sources in your scene. It's especially useful for GIFs that you want to be visible throughout your entire stream.

Conclusion

GIFs can be a great way to add some personality and engagement to your live streams. By following these simple steps, you can easily add GIFs to your Streamlabs OBS setup and make your streams more visually appealing.
