6abc: New App Aims to Help Breast Cancer Patients

Local News

6abc Action News Reporter Tamala Edwards speaks with breast cancer survivors about a new app that aims to help patients connect with each other and receive support.

Breast cancer patients often feel isolated and alone, but there is a new app that aims to change that. The app, called "BC Buddies," is a social networking platform that connects breast cancer patients with each other and provides them with support and resources.

The app was created by two breast cancer survivors, who saw a need for a place where patients could connect with each other and share their experiences.

"We wanted to create a safe space where breast cancer patients could connect with each other and share their experiences," said one of the app's founders. "We know that breast cancer can be a lonely and isolating experience, and we wanted to create a place where patients could feel connected and supported."

The app has been a hit with breast cancer patients, who say it has helped them feel less alone and more connected to others who are going through the same experience.

"This app is a lifesaver," said one breast cancer patient. "I've been able to connect with other patients who are going through the same thing as me, and it's been so helpful to be able to share my experiences and get support from others who understand what I'm going through."

The app is available for free on the App Store and Google Play.
