5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) is an Australian pop-rock band formed in 2011. The band consists of lead vocalist Luke Hemmings, guitarist Michael Clifford, bassist Calum Hood, and drummer Ashton Irwin.
5SOS gained popularity after posting covers of popular songs on YouTube. They released their debut EP, "Unplugged," in 2012 and their debut album, "5 Seconds of Summer," in 2014.
The album was a commercial success, debuting at number one in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It featured the hit singles "She Looks So Perfect," "Don't Stop," and "Amnesia."
5SOS has since released three more studio albums: "Sounds Good Feels Good" (2015), "Youngblood" (2018), and "5SOS5" (2022). They have also embarked on multiple world tours and won numerous awards.
5SOS is known for their catchy melodies, energetic live performances, and dedicated fan base. They have become one of the most successful Australian bands of all time.
